Recently I splurged out on some high end make-up that I have been lusting over for ages and it was most definitely worth the purchase! These are all products that I've heard so many good reviews of so I knew that they would be amazing additions to my make-up collection!
I purchased the Sublime de Chanel infinite length and curl mascara in 10 deep black. This is the first Chanel mascara I have tried and it is amazing! I love the shape of the wand as it gets narrower which is perfect for the corners of your eyes. It definitely does lengthen and curl your eyelashes a great deal and I feel that false eyelashes are not needed when I'm wearing this mascara. I have heard so much about Clinique bottom lash mascara in 01 black so I was so excited to try it out! I have trouble applying mascara to my bottom lashes so this with its tiny wand is great! Both of the mascaras work so well together and create a gorgeous day to evening eye!
I have never tried a NARS product before so I thought the best way to get into it was to start with this little duo! I love shadow pencils and crayons as I find they are so easily to apply for an effortless look and NARS soft touch shadow pencil in Hollywoodland is the perfect colour for me! As I have brown eyes, I prefer a dark brown smokey eye as apposed to a black smokey eye. The golden colour of this shadow pencil compliments brown eyeshadow perfectly and helps transform my make up from day to night! I am constantly trying out new eyeshadow primers so I thought this was a great opportunity to try NARS pro-prime smudge proof eyeshadow base. This is a great primer for your eyes as it doesn't crease your eyeshadow and I found that there was no need for touch ups throughout the day!
I have been in dire need of a new dark red and purple lipstick for ages now so I was so excited when I found these! I've heard that the Chanel rouge allure luminous intense lip colour in 98 Coromandel is a great orangey-red but against my skintone its a lovely true red. It's such a rich moisturising lipstick which has excellent staying power. The YSL rouge pur couture pure colour satiny radiance in 54 Prune Avenue is a deep purple which I was worried wouldn't suit me but with a bronzed face it looks gorgeous! Once again, it's super moisturising and long lasting! I love Chanel and YSL lipsticks as not only are they great products but the packaging is beautiful, sleek and sophisticated!
Lastly, I purchased a new blusher! My previous blusher was Mac's Eternal Sun but as it was out of stock I decided to go for something else that was similar but still slightly different. The lovely lady at the counter pointed me in the direction of Mac's sheertone shimmer blush in Sunbasque. It's a gorgeous burnt orange with a hint of shimmer which compliments a tan yet also looks great on paler skin!
